Laura utilizes a strength-based approach that focuses on the present. Laura and her clients work together as a team to identify the strengths and skills clients already have in place and then expand upon them. She provides unconditional support in a compassionate environment as clients learn new tools that promote their growth and empowerment.
Laura has a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. She also holds a California Teaching Credential from California State University, Northridge.
As a Child and Family Therapist, Laura counseled youth and their families in the foster care system. She has also provided community workshops teaching parenting skills and tools to promote effective communication and stress management.
Laura has consulted with corporate clients assisting them to navigate office dynamics, communicate and manage feedback more effectively, and increase positive leadership and management skills. She has provided services to individuals assisting them with goal setting, increasing positive communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills. Laura has coached parents to help them to increase positive parenting skills including utilizing firm boundaries with compassion and positive self-care.
